The VideoSchalter is a video switching device (“Schalter” is German for “switch”). It was developed for TV recordings and can be built into racing cars. It has been used in the German Rally Championship, the Suzuki Rally Cup, the Transorientale 2008 and the Transsyberia 2007 and again 2008. With its origin in the racing industry, it is now also used by parachutists, stunt pilots and motorcyclists.

Features

  • LANC compatible remote control: Use a single button to switch everything on and off.
  • Power management for all connected devices, including a 9V regulator for the cameras.
  • Data recording of GPS, G-Force (in 3D) and Timecode
  • Geofencing: Mark an area where the system shall be active. The VideoSchalter will turn the system on and off automatically. With the same method it is also possible to activate individual cameras in certain areas.
  • Smooth integration with Google Earth and Google Maps (see images). No file conversion necessary.
  • In: 4x Video (with Detection and Power supply for cameras), 2x Audio (stereo microphone and stereo line inputs)
  • Out: 1x Audio/Video (4pin Jack), 1x Headphones output
  • Robust connectors including screw locks for the cameras
  • Synchronisation via Timecode or Audio
